Nokia said a while back that the N8 was the most pre-ordered device in the company's history, but just how has it been doing ever since it launched back in October? No official numbers available just yet, but Finnish research firm Inderes estimates that Nokia has shipped between 3.5 and 4 million of their flagship handset in the past three months. After mulling over some search data, Inderes has come to the conclusion that the countries most infatuated with the N8 include India, Finland (big surprise), the UAE, and Malaysia.
Four million N8s may not sound like much compared to the number of iPhones and Galaxy S devices out there, but it's still a pretty impressive number, especially since many reviewers felt that the N8 didn't quite live up to expectations. With devices like the N9 and other dual-core hardware planned for 2011, it'll be interesting to see how Nokia fares against competition that includes 4G Androids, a new iPhone, and several new webOS devices. Anyone care to make a prediction on how 2011 will go for Nokia?
