I couldn't be at the Ubuntu Developer Summit in Barcelona, but ars technica was. And they were able to grab a snap of what amounts to (for practical purposes - and those that I understand) a virtualized environment in which Android applications can function under Ubuntu.
This is interesting for development and cross-platform compatibility, but it also changes the idea of what is needed for an "Android netbook." It will be interesting to see how this pans out. Check out the original ars technica post, which I discovered via Talk Android.
