DROID 2 owners, fire up your System Update, because today Verizon announced a new over-the-air update coming to your handsets. The 2.3.20 update brings several enhancements to the D2, including heightened proximity sensor accuracy, improved GPS location tracking, faster transitions between WiFi and 3G, and, possibly most importantly, improved battery life. It may not be Gingerbread, but it's certainly better than nothing, right? The full list of improvements can be found down below.
The DROID 2 has only be out a couple of months at this point, but I'd be interested in seeing how well it's selling compared to the first DROID. After all, you would figure since the original device was such a huge success for Verizon and Motorola, a sequel with an improved keyboard would be even more popular. I haven't seen nearly as many DROID 2s in the wild compared to the DROID, but that may just be my area. Anyway, those of you out there that do own a DROID 2, go ahead and snag that new update, which should be rolling out as we speak. Just be sure to come back and tell us all about it afterward, ok?
