Google used its Search On event today to announce the newest addition to their catalog of services, Google Instant. Instant begins bringing up search results while you're typing your query, rather than waiting for you to finish and hit enter, speeding up the search process quite a bit. Currently, Google Instant is only available for your desktop or laptop searching, but Google has said that Instant will be available in a mobile version this fall. Considering that the first week of fall is only a couple of weeks away, let's hope that the big G plans to launch the mobile Instant more toward the beginning of the season.
Google Instant is a huge addition to the company's search engine, and I can't wait to see it available on mobile devices, too. Considering that searching for something on your handset can be a little more time-consuming that searching on an actual computer, being able to use Instant on your device will make the process much more enjoyable. So now users can use their voice to search on their phones, and soon they'll be able to search using Instant, as well. Anyone care to guess what kind of new innovation Google will be adding to search next?
