Following the usual trend of gadget leaks, the Motorola Sage was spotted in an FCC filing, then got spotted hanging with Mr. Blurrycam, and now the Sage has moved on to new, clearer friends. A tipster has sent Engadget several good-looking photos of the device in all of its sliding QWERTY goodness. While we haven't really learned anything new in the photos, other than the confirmation that there is a QWERTY keyboard tucked away, it's always good to get decent photos of a leaked product. Engadget's tipster says that the Sage is running Android 2.1 beneath MOTOBLUR 2, a skin like the one found on the DROID X.
It's pretty disappointing that the Motorola Sage will be coming with BLUR, especially since there isn't a vanilla Android device available on AT&T yet. Still, I'm always glad to see another Android phone with a physical QWERTY. There isn't any sort of news on a release date for the Sage, but Engadget's source says that he has had the unit for a month already, so I'm sure an official announcement can't be too far off.
