In the span of a few weeks, US Cellular has gone from unknown in the Android space to picking up two hot, feature-rich devices. Last week on their Facebook page, US Cellular announced the upcoming availability of the Samsung R880 "Acclaim." Though little is known about the device (besides what's in the Facebook update), the Acclaim will offer a 3.2-inch HVGA display, Android 2.1, and a full QWERTY keyboard. The device will be available in July - right around the time of the HTC Desire's grand debut on the nation's seventh largest wireless carrier.
With a history of being behind the national guys in regards to releases (a reputation that plagues all regional carriers, unfortunately), US Cellular appears to be doing all it can to buck the trend. For those that use US Cellular, what say you? Planning on quenching your Android thirst with the Desire or the Acclaim?
