Though the Verizon DROID Incredible wasn't announced until a few weeks before its actual release - leaving VZW Android fans rife with anticipation - the leak sauce was flowing something thick, especially in the days leading up to its launch. Despite the fact that we've known about the HTC EVO 4G for some time now, there are certain details (plan pricing, release date, price on and off contract) about the phone that have yet to be made official, but much like the Incredible, the sauce has begun to flow.
The good news is this past Friday the HTC EVO 4G officially made it past the FCC's abundance of tests as HTC model PC36100, a good sign that the device is one step closer to making its debut in the palms of Sprint fans everywhere. Last week we saw leaked promotional sales sheets (thanks to a Radio Shack employee) that demonstrated Sprint's plan to launch the device after a four-week ad campaign highlighting the features of the phone.
It looks like the folks at AndroidGuys have also managed to uncover some training materials, and this time from the source (Sprint) as opposed to a third-party retailer. The materials suggest that the EVO 4G, the first 4G phone in the US, will come loaded with several Sprint specific apps like Sprint TV, Sprint Football Live, and Sprint Navigation. But don't worry, you'll still get the standard Google Android apps as well. There is also information to suggest that current Sprint plans will not apply to the EVO 4G. One of the screen shots leaked to AndroidGuys includes 'Plan Rules,' and reads as follows:

It seems as if things are 'a changin' at Sprint, and even current customers won't be able to use their grandfathered plans with the EVO 4G. There's no official information on plan pricing, or much of anything aside from specs at this point, but hold on to your seats because I think Sprint has something up their sleeve. There's a reason they were first to 4G, and I suspect profitability is one of them. According to AndroidGuys' source, training started this past Friday, and with the rumored release of June 6th, you can bet the four-week promotion will be starting soon.
