The Apple TV app has been steadily expanding to platforms outside of Apple's own set-top box over the past year, and next week it'll debut on Xbox consoles, too.
The Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S will get the Apple TV app on November 10. With the app, you'll have access to the Apple TV+ streaming service as well as Apple Channels. You'll be able to buy or rent more than 100,000 movies and TV shows from Apple, too, and get access to previous purchases you've made as well.
In addition to the Apple TV app, the new Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S consoles will have access to many other streaming apps on their November 10 launch day. Those apps include Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, Spotify, YouTube, YouTube TV, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu, NBC Peacock, Vudu, FandangoNow, Twitch, Sky Go, Now TV, Sky Ticket, and more.
Gaming consoles have become the center of the entertainment center for a lot of people in recent years. In addition to playing games, many people use their consoles for watching movies on discs as well as streaming video and music. Because of that, it's good to see that the Apple TV app and many other popular streaming apps will be available on the new Xbox consoles on day one.
The Apple TV app will also be available on the PlayStation 5 when it launches on November 12, and it'll be available on the PS4 as well.
