Nearly three months after it was first announced, we finally know when Google's Nest Hub Max will launch.
The Google Nest Hub Max will be released on September 9 in Australia, the U.K., and the U.S., excluding Puerto Rico. (Via Droid-Life) Pricing for Google's supersized smart display will be $229.
Features of the Nest Hub Max include a 10-inch 1280x800 display, up from the 7-inch screen on the Nest Hub, and a 6.5MP camera with a 127-degree field of view and auto-framing for your video call needs. That camera doubles as a Nest Cam so that you can see what's going on at home while you're away, and it can also use Face Match to recognize particular people who are in front of the Nest Hub Max and show only their info.
To help add to the Nest Hub Max's security, Google is including a physical off switch for the camera. When flipped, both the camera and microphone will be disabled.
Rounding out the Nest Hub Max's feature list is a pair of 18MM 10W tweeters, a 75mm 30W subwoofer, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth support, and a Chromecast.
The bigger screen of the Nest Hub Max could make watching videos more enjoyable, especially when it comes to viewing recipes while you're in the kitchen or conducting a video call. The sound ought to be better on the Nest Hub Max compared to the standard Nest Hub, so if you like listening to music, this could be a better option over Google's smaller smart display.
