Cricket Wireless is a great company.

Posted on: October 2nd, 2010 by Mike Bass

The good: Inexpensive, great coverage, great phones. The bad: The only con I have found is the East Indian customer service is a little hard to understand sometimes.Summary: I have been with Cricket Wireless for over 9 years and have nothing but good things to say. The coverage has increased in the past years to include most everywhere in the U.S. and their signal quality is great. I understand if you maybe came from another over priced inflated phone company to this one, you may not like the service. But for people that aren't worried about having the best phone ever and the hottest new stuff out it's a great company to go with.

Incredibly bad phone company

Posted on: September 27th, 2010 by Dave V

The good: InexpensiveThe bad: Almost every call experiences poor voice quality and/or dropped call. Very bad customer service.Summary: Actually hard to believe how bad the quality of calls are compared to other cell companies. I made the mistake of porting my T-Mobile number to cricket because of the low price. People on the other end of a call are constantly saying they can't understand me, sounding garbled. And most calls get dropped unless you keep the conversations to a couple of minutes. I also had problems with the voicemail not working. First time it happened, I called customer service 6 times before they figured out how to reset the account. Second time took 4 calls. And the customer service seems to be based in India and is very hard to understand them. They also seem to have little to no training and read from a script, the wrong script, to the problems I was having. They refused or were unable to understand what I was telling them my problem was and were offering solutions to a totally different problem. I'll be switching back to T-Mobile.

Unrespectfull Service

Posted on: September 17th, 2010 by Tony Tattoo

The good: Cheap unlimited service, u get what you pay for.The bad: phones use crickit server for web is lame and not safe.Summary: Bought a new messanger touch samsung black for my girl and it shut down the first day looping boot sequince. took it back to cricket with the warranty payed an other 10 dollars for shipping back to samsung plus twenty questions about what sight she was tryng to download from. Cricket red flaged her number and now the second messenger phone doesnt download anything. Took it back with no one even tryng to flash this exlusive phone of Cricket to fix it or have an answer to whats going on with this useless phone. Tech service sux it seems the kids they have working behind the counter have no clue to the inside workings of a phone or even why a phone works for that matter. Online sight support is nill and hyped with sales gimicks. Read that fine print of all sales and phone polices and u will see that they dont cover anything. They said that the could not replace the phone because there was 30min of airtime on it it took them that time and more to set the thing up at their store. I dont get how they are still in buisness screwing people. If you have money to just piss away Crickit will take it.....Thank you Crickit Kiss my A**!

Bad Review........I Don't Think So.

Posted on: August 4th, 2010 by Matt Siedlers

The good: In chicago......phone service is great, 3G coverage is great, very reliable. The bad: Phone selection.Summary: I've had cricket for over a month now. I was in a hurry, my sprint contract was up, and needed a phone fast. I went to cricket because i could get a phone with keyboard, and a 3g wireless air card for the $75.00 a month. First off, i have NEVER had a dropped call yet. That must say something. Every text i've sent (and there are lots) has gone thru in seconds. I'm the only one out of countless friends that has cricket, and i have had not ONE problem. Phone works, service has been spectacular, and the internet card..... GREAT! The 3G wireless card is faster than the DSL i use at work. I don't even use my work network anymore. I just use the card. Now i'm not gonna lie and say it's downloads in lightning speed. But, browsing, music, video, and the occasional download is the perfect use for this card. I've had nextel, then sprint in the past. And the service with cricket, at least for me has been way better! I've had countless dropped calls with sprint, none with cricket. And with the wireless card, sprint was terrible. Pages couldn't load, yahdayahda. But not with the cricket card. For instance, i'm in my basement RIGHT NOW writing this with it. I disagree with alot of the negative comments here. I'll tell ya what, maybe i'm lucky, but i'm sticking with cricket.

ABSOLUTELY THE WORST!

Posted on: July 27th, 2010 by Carol limpo

The good: NoneThe bad: Hidden charges, charges on bill change and do not correspond to your plan. The worst customer service. Impossible to get a live person. Customer service line will disconnect you before you get to person. Number for direct service is not on their website. Summary: Terrible terrible customer service. Say there are no hidden charges but charged tax on first free month...found out AFTER total had been paid. Did not use the auto pay that was set up, so disconnected phone twice, charged $10 to reinstate both times. Impossible to get through on 1800 cricket to live person. Extra charges, amount due on bill changes frequently & is higher. Terrible company and it takes a lot to make me dissatisfied. DO NOT SIGN UP!

Do not get Cricket, you will regret it!

Posted on: July 17th, 2010 by anna hutton

The good: CheapThe bad: Calls always dropped, terrible customer service, difficult to cancel serviceSummary: I had both phone and wireless internet with cricket. Both turned out to be terrible. I had the phone for 4 months and most of the calls I made during that time were dropped. I had terrible reception and I live in the heart of an urban area. There was a hidden fee which was charged to me a month after activation. I called to complain and got nowhere. Trying to cancel the service is proving a hassle. I have been transferred 3 times and then put on hold for so long, it seems they want me to just give up. As for the wireless internet service, I had dial up speed on my internet. It was painfully slow and I had to deactivate after only 2 month. I now have both internet and phone service with new carriers, both are exactly the same price as cricket and the service is 100% better. Cricket is not the cheaper option.

Cricket= no respect

Posted on: July 1st, 2010 by percival st. clair

The good: cheap monthly fee, no contractThe bad: calls often dropped, poor customer service,Summary: My Kyocera phone stopped working properly on the 32nd day- two days after the 30 day warranty. I was told by the customer service agent to purchase a new phone. When I enrolled in auto-bill, they had me pre-pay for a month in advance, which is the only thing keeping me enrolled in their service. At the end of July, I intend to switch to a more expensive, but more reliable, phone service.

Cricket is crooked

Posted on: June 28th, 2010 by Mary Piper

The good: Cheap monthly PriceThe bad: If phone fails within a week for no reason, you have to purchase a new one..Summary: There were five people in the store with the same problem, phone died after a week. Cricket was clueless, said we dropped it in water (not true). Then told me to buy another phone (150.00), which I promptly told him where to stick the broken phone and walked out the door. No one in the store can help you, you have to stand in line to use a phone to call customer service. I believe they buy recyled phones or cheap Chinese rejects. This is why there customer service rating is "o".

Unidentidied Charges

Posted on: June 26th, 2010 by Lion Katt

The good: None!!!The bad: Everything!!!Summary: I signed up for pretty much all of the sevrices criket offered including the web access. My bill was consitently $25-$50 more each month than it was supposed to be and no one in their customer service dept would tell me what the extra charges were for.I finally signed up for paper statements (which they charge you for) so I could see what the extra charges were, and never received a single one. I called and complained every month about being over billed and not receiving any statements in the mail but never got any help at all.Stay away from cricket they are by far the worst cell company out there!

Cricket Broadband-RUN!!!

Posted on: May 1st, 2010 by Anonymous

The good: no contractThe bad: customer service and policy on return fundsSummary: I was paying my bill w/ my Mastercard rather than my debit card. I failed to check my statements and discovered today after reviewing my statements that they had charged me 4x when they should not have. The first mth was suppose to be free. They charged me 3 wks later. Then on another occasion they charged my account 3x on one day. It took me 3-4 calls to get to a real person. It took me threatening to tell my bank (credit card holder) that the transactions were fraud before they would admit to all of the transactions they took out of my account. Then I was informed that I had to give them my card number and expiration for them to file out a form to get my money back. They report that there isn't a way to speak to the finance dept directly. I also have to provide them w/ a copy of my credit card statements w/in 24 hrs to get my money back. Funny, I didn't need to call in w/ my card number for them to charge me in error. It's also crazy that they see the charges in error but I have to send them MY proof. The best pro of this experience is that I was going to transfer over to their cell phone. Now, I know that won't happen. Oh yeah, it will take 7-14 days for me to get my money back. RUN from Cricket!!! The cheap cost will get you later!!!
