TOP TEN REVIEWS MUST BE PAID....CRICKET IS FAR WORSE THAN THEY RATE IT

Posted on: April 7th, 2010 by Dan Rothsburg

The good: NONE...CRICKET IS THE WORST FOR MANY REASONSThe bad: Cricket has the worst customer service. The web site is useless and the callcenters have been located where English is not a spoken language. While many companies also have call centers in India, or the Phillipines, Cricket pays the least, trains the least and has the lowest requirements. Cricket support drops about 1/3 of all calls and the customer satisfaction rating is under 20%. The newly hyped extended coverage is a sham. They merely "have access" to the towers of various smaller carriers Summary: There are other companies with pre paid. Straightalk at WalMart has been consistent in service and support. Boost has also shown very acceptable performance in the service and in the support. Smart Mobile and Platinumtel have also garnered acceptable reviews. Cricket is like the insect it is named after....a scavenger on the ground...below all others. Like an insect breeds disease...Cricket breeds problems of its' own.

Cricketservice drops one third of all calls for 63 users

Posted on: April 7th, 2010 by NORM NAPA

The good: ABSOLUTELY NOTHING GOOD TO SAY. NEW "NATIONWIDE" SERVICE HYPE IS A SCAM. IT IS MERELY A CONGLOMERATION OF SMALLER, MOSTLY POORLY EQUIPPED, INFERIOR COMPANIES THAT ARE HISTORICALLY THE WORST PROVIDERS IN THEIR RESPECTIVE AREAS. The bad: We have kept the data from over 60 people using Cricket. All experienced an intolerable amount of dropped calls...about 35%! When their Cricket phones would not have signals, other people in the same rooms, same buildings had service from other companies. The texts averaged a 7 minute delay. The web access was intolerably slow or inoperative about 50%-75% of the time. CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS WITHOUT A DOUBT THE WORST EVER EXPERIENCED. I AM 62,AND REMEMBER THE HORRORS OF COMPANIES LIKE NEC,HPSummary: Cricket is a poorly run company that has consistently ignored the American consumer. While other companies also use Indian (mostly), Mexican and Phillipines based call centers, Cricket has been shown to pay the lowest scale in those countries, with the weakest requirements and the worst training. Cricket has put people to work with barely 2 hours of training, merely having them read from cue cards and preprinted, useless responses. WANTED TO HAVE REASON TO LIKE CRICKET, BUT IT IS ABSOLUTELY THE WORST COMPANY IN THE PREPAID PHONE MARKET. THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS ALSO THE ABSOLUTE WORST. THEIR PHONES ARE ALSO WITHOUT A DOUBT, THE CHEAPEST MADE, PRONE TO FAIL JUNK ANYONE OFFERS.

Don't Use Cricket Wireless, You won't save a dime.

Posted on: March 7th, 2010 by D Eggleston

The good: Nothing, absolutely nothing. The bad: Poor phone quality, poor service, poor supportSummary: Bottom line: You'll pay for a phone, then another phone to replace the defective one, and then you'll discontinue service because of no support. Customer service is made up of nonenglish speaking individuals reading a script. If you really want to sign up with cricket, just flush the money down the toilet and save yourself the hassles and wasted time dealing with this company who doesn't care. They have a "We do not need you" attitude.

Egh.. okay

Posted on: January 21st, 2010 by jenny alvarado

The good: Cricket is okay. If you don't want any contract, then it's good. I perfer it b/c it's cheaper than any other phone companies. I get good amount of service, b/c I guess there are a lot of cricket towers in the TX area.. Anyways.. the phones are cheap qualities though. So I perfer to get another phone from another phone company, fully flash it.. then use it.The bad: If you don't pay w/n the day of payment, the next day it charges you $10 fee. Plus the customer service. OMG!! Can't understand them much. I made c.s rep repeat herself three times and still couldn't understand her. I can tell she was getting frustrated, so I just ended the call. I wish I knew what she was saying.. lol.. seriously..Summary: Bad credit=cricketNo contract=cricketBeing cheap=cricketUnlimted text and min=cricket =)

Really not that bad

Posted on: December 31st, 2009 by Alex K

The good: Great coverageThe bad: Phone selectionSummary: I generally don't write reviews, but given all the poor reviews I felt I should say something...I have been a Cricket customer for over 10 years now. In the beginning, the coverage was not great because they were not nationwide at that time and they don't have the greatest selection of phones, but I have always had good experiences with customer service. In the past I've had phones that stopped working or got damaged and they have always taken great care of me. My calls don't drop, I have service everywhere I go, and no problems sending or receiving texts or getting voicemails. I also use my phone a lot and nobody else has unlimited service plans for less than $100 a month. I like the convenience of paying online and if I want to change my plan I can at any time without having to extend a contract. If I were to ever be unhappy with Cricket service I know that I can get a different carrier at any time without having to pay a large fee to get out of a contract with a service provider that doesn't take care of my needs. They say you get what you pay for but I'll take a cheaper bill without a cutting edge phone any day.

Cheap service because you don't get any service.

Posted on: September 14th, 2009 by Peggy J

The good: Convincing ad blitz in the Chicago areaThe bad: poor to nonexistent service anywhere!Summary: Bought into the ads for Cricket. Thought I would give them a try. OMG! I use my phone for business and rarely get service. The phone doesn't ring because there isn't service and thus I don't even know I got a call or a voice mail because the phone goes into power save mode and basically shuts down! I am the emergency contact number for my grand children and my daughter is going to have to change to a differnet contact person because I hardly ever get service! It is the biggest scam I have ever seen except for Bernie Madoff! The phone is a cheap piece of .... I guess you get what you pay for! I should know better.

Beware of the billing fees

Posted on: August 28th, 2009 by Scott Mc

The good: Coverage is weak at bestThe bad: No support and the fees associated with the billing are loaded on. Autopay doesn't work then they billl you to reconnect. RipoffSummary: There is no web site support and phone support? Well good luck. The store personnel don't know how to work out billing problems so you get fee after fee. I signed up for autopay and after 3 months it still didn't work andI was billed each month for reconnection and payment fees. It doubled my bill. Beware of this outfit

Crappy Service, Crappy Phones, Even Crappier Reception!

Posted on: August 10th, 2009 by Chrissy .

The good: No contracts. Unlimited plans are mostly straight-forward and are easy to compare, but you must read ALL the fine-print. They're the least-expensive service out there by about $3.00, so I would recommend trying Einstein PCS or another no-contract company first! The bad: *The crapiest coverage of any provider I've ever used... even in the city of Madison, the capitol of Wisconsin, you didn't get reception 0.5 miles from the mall. Nevermind that there are towers EVERYWHERE. Ask people in your area how their coverage is, I'm sure they'll tell you it's spotty as best.*Painfully slow web browsing*Not a good selection of phones, they're all using decade-old technology*Broadband service is a JOKE. We literally live 2 blocks away from a towerSummary: I now have US Cellular, who is expensive and requires contracts, but I ALWAYS have reception- anywhere- even out in the boonies or at our cabin in the middle of nowhere.I could not STAND Cricket! They have ridiculous counter fees and charges they try to impose for simple services. People don't deserve to be treated like this just because they have bad credit or don't want to sign a lengthy contract with a provider. The only good this was getting rid of Cricket!R-E-S-P-E-C-T, my foot!!!!!!!
