When the Motorola Edge+ made its official debut, we learned that the new flagship device was only guaranteed to get one major Android OS update. Now Moto has pledged to offer a second update to the Edge+.
Motorola says that the Edge+ will receive "at least" two Android OS updates. The phone launched with Android 10, so that means it should be updated to Android 11 as well as Android 12.
"We’re excited to share that all Motorola Edge Plus consumers will enjoy a clean Android 10 experience and are expected to receive at least two Android OS upgrades," Motorola told Android Authority.
The Motorola Edge+ is a flagship smartphone in every sense of the word. It's got high-end specs that include a Snapdragon 865 processor, 12GB of RAM, a 6.67-inch OLED display, and 108MP camera. It's also not cheap, priced at $1,000. Because of all that, it's good to see Motorola show commitment to the Edge+ and the customers who bought one by giving it at least two major OS updates.
