Instagram already offers ways for you to manage comments on your posts, including deleting and locking them, and starting today there's a few more ways for you to deal with comments on your Insta.
First up, Instagram is rolling out the ability to delete multiple comments at once. Just tap on a comment and then on the dotted icon in the upper right corner. Select Manage Comments and you can delete up to 25 comments at once.
You can also block or restrict multiple accounts at once by pressing and holding on a comment, tapping the dotted icon, and then selecting Block or Restrict.
Instagram is now letting you choose who can tag and mention you as well. Jump into the Privacy section of your account and then go into the Tags or Mentions section. You'll be able to choose from options that include "Everyone", "Only People You Follow", and "No One".
Finally, you'll soon be able to highlight positive comments on your Instagram posts by pinning them to the top. Just swipe on a particular comment and select the pin option and it'll stick to the top of your post. You can pin up to 3 comments at a time on a post.
All of these new features are aimed at combating online bullying. It can be frustrating to to manage comments on your Instagram posts when people are being mean, but these additions should help you to more easily deal with trolls and bullies while highlighting the positivity that you want to see more of in the comments.
