Shortly after the rear shell of the new LG “Bullhead” Nexus reportedly leaked, a new video has surfaced that claims to give us a peek at a prototype of what may be Huawei’s “Angler” Nexus.
A video posted by Steve Hemmerstoffer, who also goes by the name @onleaks, claims to show a prototype of a Huawei phone that could be the company’s upcoming Nexus phone. The video is brief, but we can see a large, round camera with a pill-shaped flash on its back, as well as a squircle thing that could be a fingerprint reader. We can also see a brief glimpse of what looks to be a power/lock button on the side of the unit.
The rear camera and fingerprint reader setup on this Huawei phone are similar to the backside of the Huawei Ascend Mate7 as well as an Ascend Mate 8 prototype that also leaked recently. It’s tough to get many details of the Huawei Nexus from this leak, but the device does certainly seem large enough to house the 5.7-inch display that’s rumored for Huawei’s Nexus phone. And with Android M’s native fingerprint support and Huawei’s history of putting fingerprint readers on phones, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see the Huawei Nexus have a fingerprint reader too.
