Some owners of older Sony Xperia hardware may be feeling a bit down about their devices after the debut of the Xperia Z3 et al, but today Sony’s got a bit of a treat for those folks that ought to perk them up a bit.
Sony just announced that it’s now pushing Android 4.4.4 updates to the Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia ZR and Xperia Tablet Z. The updates include improvements to battery life, Wi-Fi, email and more. Sony has updated its Xperia Z support page with the following additional info for that device:
Sony’s been one of the better manufacturers when it comes to supporting its Android devices with updates, and today that trend continues. To check for these updates, grab your Sony device and head into Settings > About phone > Software updates > System updates.
