Following Sprint’s new Family Share Pack plan that the big yellow carrier debuted earlier this week, today it introduced a new plan focused on single users.
Starting tomorrow, August 22, Sprint will begin offering the Sprint $60 Unlimited Plan, which is pretty much what it sounds like. The new rate plan includes unlimited talk, text and data for $60 per month and is available to both new and existing customers.
In order to sign up for the Sprint $60 Unlimited Plan, customers will need to buy a new device through Sprint Easy Pay, pay full retail price for a unit or bring their own device to Sprint. Ol’ Yellow also notes that a customer’s data throughput may be “limited, varied or reduced on the network” to ensure an improved experience for everyone else.
On the surface, this looks like a pretty nice plan from Sprint. Most carriers offer unlimited talk and text plans right now, but unlimited data is something that only T-Mo has as an option. So if you’re a data guzzler, you’ve now got two options to choose from if you want a bottomless bucket of bytes. Hooray competition!
