T-Mobile customers, if you’ve got some friends that aren’t yet a part of the Magenta Army, you’ll score some free data if you can convince them to enlist.
T-Mobile today announced a new promotion that’ll give one year of unlimited LTE data to Simple Choice customers that get an AT&T, Sprint or Verizon customer to switch to T-Mo. The T-Mobile switcher will receive a year’s worth of unlimited LTE data as well. And for T-Mo customers that already have unlimited LTE data? They’ll receive a $10 credit every month for 12 months.
This “Rescue Beleaguered Sprint Customers” promo kicks off Friday, Aug. 29. In order to claim your free data, you’ll need to visit T-Mobile’s website and have both your phone number and your buddy’s on hand. When you report the switch to T-Mobile within 30 days of your friend’s switch, you’ll both receive LTE data starting that month.
As with most offers, there’s a bit of fine print with T-Mobile’s new promo that’s worth taking note of. Both you and your buddy will need to keep active service and have an account in good standing when your free LTE data goes through. Each account can only have one unlimited LTE add-on or monthly credit. Finally, both customers have to maintain their service and not change their rate plan in order to continue receiving their free data or monthly credit.
