Switcher offers seem to be one of the hot new trends in mobile, with T-Mobile and Sprint recently announcing new promos in an attempt to get customers to jump to their ships. Now even the prepaid operators are getting in on the switcher action.
Starting this Sunday, Aug. 24, Cricket Wireless will give a $100 bill credit to any consumers that jump to Cricket from T-Mobile or MetroPCS. The promo will run through Oct. 19 and will be available both in stores and online. Cricket also notes that there’s no limited on the number of lines that can switch, with each line receiving its own $100 credit.
Cricket says that your credit will be issued to a customer’s account around 5 days before the end of the first service period. In order to receive the credit, your account will be to be active and you’ll need to be on Cricket’s Basic, Smart or Pro plan.
Cricket’s Basic, Smart and Pro plans are priced at $40, $50 and $60, respectively, so this credit will be good for either 2 months of service or close to it, depending on which offering you sign up for. That’s not a bad deal, and the nice part is that you can get the credit online, so you don’t need to visit a Cricket shop if you don’t want to.
