One month after the Alcatel One Touch Evolve and One Touch Fierce made their official debut on T-Mobile, the two Jelly Bean-powered smartphones are making their way to the magenta carrier's recently-acquired prepaid arm.
Alcatel today announced that both the One Touch Evolve and One Touch Fierce are launching today at MetroPCS. The One Touch Evolve is the more inexpensive of the two, coming in with a price tag of $59 plus tax. In exchange for their 59 clams, MetroPCS customers will receive an Android 4.1 smartphone with a 4-inch 800x480 touchscreen, 5-megapixel rear and 0.3-megapixel front cameras, 4GB storage, microSD card slot and a 1GHz processor.
Stepping things up a bit in terms of both price and performance is the One Touch Fierce. Priced at $99 plus tax, the Fierce packs a 4.5-inch 960x540 display, 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 5-megapixel rear camera, 0.3-megapixel front-facing shooter, 4GB storage and a microSD card slot that can provide some additional space. The One Touch Fierce comes preloaded with Android 4.2.
The Alcatel One Touch Evolve and Fierce are two of the most affordable Android-powered handsets in MetroPCS's lineup, meaning that Metro customers in the hunt for a new device that'll be easy on the wallet will soon have two more options to consider.
