Nearly a month after we first got a peek at the white HTC EVO 4G LTE, Sprint has made it nice and official. Sprint today announced that the white EVO 4G LTE will be launching on July 15, aka this Sunday, with pricing set at $199.99 with a two-year contract and $50 mail-in rebate. The white EVO 4G LTE features the same specs as the black model, meaning you're looking at a 4.7-inch 1280x720 Super LCD display, 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 8-megapixel rear and 1.3-megapixel front cameras, 16GB storage and Android 4.0. As the name implies, the device also packs in 4G LTE connectivity.
Speaking of LTE, Sprint previously announced that its LTE coverage will be going live in five markets on July 15, the same day that this white EVO 4G LTE launches. The five markets that'll be first to get Sprint LTE are Atlanta, Houston, Dallas, Kansas City and San Antonio, so customers in those markets that are shopping for a handset could net a shiny new white EVO 4G LTE and then use it to hop onto Sprint's shiny new LTE network. Sounds like a nice way to spend a Sunday. You can find Sprint's full announcement of the white EVO 4G LTE below.
