Good news for HTC Sensation 4G owners: T-Mobile has provided an update on the progress of the Sensation's Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade. In a post on the Sensation 4G's support page, T-Mobile has posted a note explaining that the handset's Android 4.0 update has completed the testing process and that the carrier expects that it'll be made available "very soon." The full statement:
"May 2 News: The Android 4.0 (ICS) update for the HTC Sensation 4G has completed its testing process and we expect it to be available very soon. Please stay tuned for an official communication from T-Mobile regarding how and when you’ll be able to receive the update."
It may not be a concrete rollout date, but this is still exciting news for Sensation 4G owners, especially after we learned halfway through last month that the upgrade wouldn't be arriving in April. A recently-leaked T-Mobile document claimed that the Sensation 4G's ICS update may not be coming until mid-June, but here's to hoping that today's news means that the wait may not be quite as long. Stay tuned, Sensation 4G owners.
