Well, this is a nice Friday morning surprise. All five variants of Motorola's DROID Xyboard are now available from purchase for Verizon's online store, with pricing set at $429.99 or $529.99 for the 16GB or 32GB versions of the 8.2-inch model or $529.99, $629.99 or $729.99 for the big 10.1-inch brother in 16, 32, or 64GB variants. All of the aforementioned prices include a two-year contract. Although the Xyboard variants are currently only available from Verizon online, those of you that prefer a more hands-on, brick and mortar experience will be able to pick them up from a Verizon store beginning December 12th.
The fact that the DROID Xyboards appeared on Verizon's online store this morning caught some folks off guard because although Verizon had said in the past that they'd be available this month, it never gave any kind of specific launch date. Now the follow-ups to the original Honeycomb tablet are here, strange branding and all. The good news is that unlike the original Xoom, these Xyboards come with 4G LTE connectivity out of the gate. So, anyone buying?
