Details about LG's Optimus Slider, codenamed Gelato Q, have slowly been trickling out over the past couple of months. After originally appearing on a leaked Sprint inventory sheet, a render of Sprint's flavor of the Optimus Slider showed off the device's front around a month ago. Today is Verizon's day in the spotlight. Thanks to a sell sheet from accessories wholesaler Xentris Wireless that was acquired by the folks at Pocketnow, it's been revealed that Verizon's Optimus Slider (model number VS700) could be called the "LG Enlighten" when it hits shelves. The image above also gives us an idea of what the the phone's backside will look like.

If you'll remember, the VS700 Enlighten was caught passing through the FCC way back in June, which is an important step landscape slider's pre-release life. Speaking of release, there's been no word on when Verizon will actually be launching the Enlighten, and it didn't appear in the Verizon launch date leak-apalooza that we saw yesterday. That leaked Sprint inventory sheet mentioned earlier showed that the Now Network may be launching its Optimus Slider variant on September 11th, though, and it wouldn't be a shock to see Big Red launch the Enlighten around the same time.

UPDATE: Wow, that was fast. Right after this post went up, the folks at Droid-Life managed to not only snag an image of the Verizon's Enlighten keyboard and all, but the site also got the device's full spec sheet. The Enlighten will be packing a 3.2-inch 320x480 touchscreen, 800MHz processor, 3.2-megapixel camera, 150MB of internal user memory, microSD card slot, 3G Mobile Hotspot support, and Android 2.3 running beneath LG's custom UI. You can check out the spec sheet for yourself right here. The Enlighten is said to be launching on August 25th in Verizon indirect stores. So, anyone biting?
