The EVO Shift 4G has been slowly but surely revealing itself to us, but tonight it seems that just about all has been revealed. A set of images of the EVO Shift in the flesh has been sent to Phone Arena that shows the device powered on and its keyboard displayed. Unsurprisingly, Sense is on board, and the keyboard looks just like the one in an image that was leaked a couple of weeks ago. According to the source, the EVO Shift's processor is clocked at 800MHz, adding to the rumor that its basically Sprint's G2, and is described as looking like a smaller EVO 4G. The current release rumors claim that the EVO Shift will be launching in early January, but Phone Arena is a little skeptical that the device will see the light of day.
As with just about any leak, these photos are a tad on the blurry side, but they're definitely the best photos we have of the EVO Shift 4G yet. Considering how popular the original EVO has been, I'd be surprised if Sprint didn't launch the EVO Shift some time in the next month or so. It takes the popular EVO design and Sense interface and bolts on a physical QWERTY keyboard, which is something that a lot of users have been clamoring for. The EVO Shift may only have a 3.7-inch(ish) display, but when it comes to market, I've got a feeling that it could pose a real threat to Samsung's Epic 4G. How many of you would pick up an EVO Shift 4G on Sprint?
