The LG Star has popped up a couple of times in the past month or so, and now the device is making its presence known once again. The folks at Engadget managed to spend some personal time with the Tegra 2-powered Star and came away rather impressed with it, even though the device was a prototype. Some of the highlights of the encounter:
After getting up close and personal with the Star, Engadget said that the handset has the potential to be to be a "highlight device" next year, and so far I'm inclined to agree. It's disappointing that LG has decided to skin the Star, especially with the UI tweaks found in Gingerbread, but the Tegra 2 core and 4-inch display make up for it. We should be seeing more of the Star at CES, so stay tuned for that. In the mean time, how does the Star stack up against other devices (like the EVO Shift 4G) for you?
