The Motorola CLIQ 2's rumored November 1st launch date came and went without so much as a peep from either T-Mobile or Moto, but it appears that the device hasn't been laid to rest, like many had thought. The name "CLIQ 2" was just published for opposition at the US Patent and Trademark Office, the final step before the trademark is officially issued. We're not any closer to knowing exactly when the CLIQ 2 is actually going to launch, but it certainly seems that the CLIQ successor could still be coming at some point in the future.
While some may argue that there isn't much of a reason for the CLIQ 2 to come to market, it could be a good smartphone if T-Mobile were able to price it right. With rumored specs like Android 2.2 and a gapless keyboard described as "interesting," the CLIQ 2 seems like it'd be a nice entry-level QWERTY device. What do you all think? Does the CLIQ 2 still have a reason to exist, or has it been supplanted by devices like the G2, myTouch 4G, and myTouch 3G Slide?
