Well what do we have here? Fresh off of an appearance at the D: Dive Into Mobile conference, the mysterious Motorola Android tablet running Honeycomb seems to have fallen into the hands of a man from Taiwan. After spending some time with the Moto-made tablet and snapping a photo of the device's 3D live wallpaper, the guy managed to rattle off some specs for us all to sink our teeth into. This particular tablet has a 1280x800 display, dual-core Tegra 2 T20, 5 megapixel camera around back, 2 megapixel front-facing camera, 32GB of internal storage, microSD slot, Honeycomb, and a gyroscope. There will be both a 7-inch and a 10-inch model and there will both both UMTS and CDMA models, as well as an LTE version for all you 4G nuts out there. Despite having all of this other info, the guy didn't have any release date or pricing info, though he did say that it'll be priced like current high-end Moto smartphones. So just how did the handler feel after using the tablet? He said that the hardware is "pretty light" and ready to launch, but that Honeycomb still needs a little tweaking.
We've heard in the past that Motorola is planning to launch two differently-sized tablets, but the news that they'll be sending out versions compatible with GSM and CDMA networks, as well as an LTE model, is pretty awesome. All of the other specs, if true, sound like an Android fan's dream, and show that Moto is definitely bringing the fight to the iPad and other Android tablets. Motorola CEO Sanjay Jha has said in the past that we'll start seeing tablets from his company starting some time in early 2011, so yo'd better start saving those pennies now.
