RIM officially unveiled BlackBerry 6 over two months ago, but as of this writing, it's only available on one device (the Torch). That looks like it'll be changing soon (thank goodness), as Verizon and RIM will be teaming up for an "interactive launch" of BB 6 on October 14th. There's not much else to go on, but considering it says BlackBerry Bold in the corner of the invite, perhaps there will at least be some Bold 9650s available show off the new OS.
It's kind of strange that Verizon and RIM have called the event an "interactive launch," and it's leading many to believe that the actual software won't be made available on the 14th. If that's true, they should at least provide us with a release date for the new OS. Now that we've got this BB 6 event and the Windows Phone 7 announcement (which we'll be live at), next week is shaping up to be a big one for the mobile industry.
