Owners of Motorola's original DROID have been enjoying the splendor of running Android 2.2 on their devices, and now Verizon has said that those devices will be getting a second Froyo update. The carrier has sent out emails to its business customers informing them that a second Android 2.2 update will be hitting DROIDs "within the next few weeks." The update will allow users to download Adobe's Flash 10.1 from the Android Market. Phandroid notes that the first Froyo update is scheduled to wrap up by August 18th, so they believe the second update will start rolling out shortly thereafter. It may not be mobile hotspot, but being able to run Flash is pretty neat too, right?
It's great to see Motorola and Verizon giving so much love and support for the original DROID, especially with the recent release of the DROID 2. Considering that the first DROID is one of the biggest, if not the biggest, selling Android device to date, I suppose the support is to be expected. How many of you DROID owners are happily chugging along with Android 2.2 on your device?
