We've heard in the past that Verizon is planning on launching its spiffy new LTE network this November but, besides a few cities like Chicago and Philadelphia, no one is sure which cities will be a part of the initial roll out. Thanks to a leaked Verizon document, we can now add San Francisco to the list. Boy Genius Report received the photo of the Verizon document you see above, which details where a successful LTE data transmission has occurred.
It's great to see Verizon is including large markets like San Francisco and Chicago in its initial LTE roll out. Considering it's a new technology, I'm surprised to see them moving straight to huge cities rather than test their 4G out in smaller markets first. I suppose they have been testing for quite some time, though, and since Sprint has already launched WiMAX in several cities across the country, Verizon needs to be aggressive with its own 4G roll out. So, how many of you in one of the initial LTE launch cities are going to take advantage of the 4G goodness?
