Right in the midst of the holiday shopping season, T-Mobile has added two new devices to its lineup. Introduced earlier in the year (and seen at CTIA Fall 2009), the carrier-branded Tap offers two color choices (berry and midnight blue), a 2-megapixel camera, music player, A-GPS, microSD card slot, stereo Bluetooth, all for $79.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate and new two-year agreement ($179.99 on the Even More Plus plan).
If a USB aircard is more up your alley, the webConnect Jet comes in at free after an instant rebate with a new two-year agreement. Offering up to 8 GB of installable microSD storage space, it doubles up as a thumb drive while on the go. T-Mobile offers two monthly service plans for their aircard offerings - a 200 MB "lite" data plan for $29.99, and a 5 GB plan for $59.99.
Though there are other devices on the market that are far more interesting, it's always nice to see new technology hit the market. Perhaps I'll jet down to the local T-Mobile store and see if they have any on tap. Yep, pun intended.
