Motorola is back in the Android smartphone game with three new Droid devices for Verizon Wireless. The middle device is the Motorola Droid Ultra, and in addition to the spelling changes ('DROID' is now 'Droid'), it offers some improvements under its skin. The Droid Ultra is powered by a 1.7 GHz dual-core CPU with Motorola's X8 system, and offers 4G LTE connectivity along with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. The phone is 7.18mm thin and offers a 2,130 mAh battery, 5-inch 720p HD AMOLED display, and a 10-megapixel camera with 1080p HD recording capabilities. It will be available for purchase on August 20th for $299.99.
