Aaron takes a look at the HTC Butterfly S, the Taiwanese cousin of the HTC One with some impressive improvements that make it a great smartphone. Closely resembling the original Butterfly (also known as the HTC DROID DNA), the Butterfly S offers a 1.9 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor, 5-inch 1080p HD display, 4-ultrapixel camera with 1080p HD recording, 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal storage (with a microSD card slot), 3,200 mAh battery, and Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean with HTC Sense 5.
While you lose the metal exterior that One users know and love, the Butterfly S brings some huge improvements over the HTC One, including a display that matches the size of the one on the Galaxy S 4 and a much larger 3,200 mAh battery. The downside is the cost - with no carrier availability in the US, the unlocked price of the HTC Butterfly S is around $800. Larger display, larger battery - and larger price point. Should you bite? Part 2 of 2.
