Amazing, Stunning, but its design could use improvements but to the avg consumer this is an amazing device I would recommend to anyone
Just got the Blue HTC One ! Beautiful phone. Does everything I need! I like it more than my galaxy s4
I've been rotating between 3 Verizon stores comparing the LG G2, Galaxy S4, Droid Maxx and Ultra, Moto X and the HTC One. After thoroughly testing, watching and reading everything I could I came to the conclusion that the G2 is the best way to go (at least for me). My smartphone history is as follows 2 treo's BlackBerry Pearl then BB tour. Verizon Samsung fascinate, Droid Maxx, avs currently Galaxy S3. Of the current flag ships let me tell you what disqualified each for me although they are all great in their own way.
HTC One great body but I hate what they did with killing one homepage with that feed. I use taptu a lot and didn't like that I was stuck with their feed as one of my 5 homepages. Also the screen was a little small for me, camera lackluster, and I don't like only 2 capacitive buttons. Not great battery.
Moto X. Well I am very happy as a Verizon customer and not having moto maker as an option was annoying. Also 16gb memory without expansion is unacceptable. The screen was a bit small. I loved the active alerts but the cost was a less than stellar screen. Also how can Motorola make a phone with no speed dials I know there are favorits but I like setting up people with one or 2 digit direct dial. Motorola did something interesting with the X8 chip set which helped battery life but I wanted more.
Droid Ultra. See moto x take away screen size and insert resolution as a negative instead.
The remaining 3 were my finalists.
Droid Maxx. See droid ultra. But take away memory and battery issues. Loved the Kevlar and the speakers are great- but that couldn't overcome everything else.
The final 2 are really great phones. But I really liked the G2 display much more than the amoled. The stabilization of the camera is great, the customizatios are unbelievable! From having the bottom buttons in different configurations to having the keyboard skew left or right for one handed operation. Bigger battery, faster processor, and the 32 GB were enough that the lack of SD didn't bother me. The only real negative compared to the Galaxy is the lack of good cases because Verizon had to be different from the rest of the carriers. The cases and SD were the only thing the Galaxy had over the first G2 and so in my opinion the G2 is the best phone on Verizon.
Thanks
It may just be luck, but the last 3 times I've spoken with T-Mobile, I've gotten nice, friendly, and knowledgeable; however, one of the times I believe the time before the last, one of the customer service reps forgot to back-date something that they said they were going to.
I had just gotten off the phone with customer service, approximately, less than 60 minutes ago, and the employee who goes by Andrew E (74637) did an excellent jobs and he was as following: Friendly, Punctuate, Knowledgeable, and Thorough; possibly the best employee of T-Mobile I've ever had the pleasure of communicating with to get a billing issue sorted out; keep in mind that I was having a severe panic attack during and before the call as well, and he was still able to do his job like every customer service employee should be able to.
Due to my latest experiences with T-Mobile's customer service, I'm going to have to bump that up to a five instead of the two that I would had given it prior to my experiences these last few months.
However, the service quality in general where I'm located isn't that great in some areas, and I'll go from having perfect service to not being able to get ANY calls out after traveling 4 miles away from the location I had perfect service at; however, this may have a lot to do with the way the buildings are constructed in this area, and the fact that I'm out in the sticks part of the time.
I'm still on a 3G phone (Galaxy S Vibrant) because I haven't had a reason to upgrade, nor have I had the spare money to get the phone I want to upgrade to, but I'll be upgrading to a Galaxy S4 (one of the variants, with quite a bit of onboard memory for obvious reasons).
Honestly, I can't find a way to give direct feedback to T-Mobile in regards to the person I had just spoken to, so if anyone here is able to and wishes to relay my feedback of Andrew E, I'd greatly appreciate it because people like him who are good at their job and do it right in a timely fashion deserve to be rewarded for their efforts.
It seems T-Mobile is starting to slowly go in the right direction with customer care, and I hope they continue to improve and train new/old employees like Andrew.
I'm a programmer on the side, and I develop an assortment of applications and some low-level stuff as well for various processing platforms, so I understand how stressful it can be to deal with a client or customer at times; people posting these reviews, please take your behavior into account as well, and the impression you leave on T-Mobile's employees because even though it shouldn't be this way, they're going to become jaded and it's going to result in bad customer service in general.
A lot of these people are just trying to put food on the table, and they're still human just as you are, regardless of their association/employment with T-Mobile. Not to mention, the people you typically talk to on the phone aren't the ones that are settings the rules and regulations for trying to get every penny out of you they can, don't blame the customer support, blame the ones higher up calling the shots instead of directing that malice and frustration towards someone who's probably barely scraping by.
Overall, I'm going to give T-Mobile's overall value a 3 until I continue to see improvements with customer care and phone service in general.
Note: There's ways to get your price down to a comfortable point, and sites like these are great for finding information and tips on how to do so, so use whatever legal method you can to get your price down to a comfortable point.
Best smartphone ever. Good screen eventhough it is not HD. The retina display is great. Great apps and compatibility. All software updates happen quickly whereas in android devices it takes forever to get the latest OS. The iPhone is simple to use and it is just better than the android devices in the long run. Yes android has cool features but do you really use all of them? No! Team #iphone
I've been torn on getting this device or the HTC One. I heard so many great things about both devices, the HTC One is very pretty, but in the end I had to go with the GS4 cause I'm a sucker for features. You'll find that these aren't gimmicks and tricks cause these are features that are centered around the things you actually use your phone for. I always put my devices in cases, but I will let you know that the GS4 is slippery on the backside. I've purchased some cases and battery doors off ebay, I like to pull a Moto X and swag my devices whenever I can. But If you prefer to go without the case, go with an aluminum or leather battery door, it will instantly make the device easier to hold. Other than that, the weight is good even in a case, battery life is stellar, very fluid performance, fast speeds, camera quality is nice in low light and it's very easy to use. This is my 6th Android device and Samsung does it justice.
Th fingerprint is amazing very powerful phone love the new ios it's the best no samsung no htc
love the IOS cam
5.2 crystall clear ips display
buttons placement natural tuch
I've had my eyes set on the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 since it was announced by Samsung. Getting the phone in my hands was a moment I had strongly anticipated.
Although it has a large screen, the Note 3 feels so comfortable to hold in the hand. This may be due to the new leather-like back that Samsung has decided to move to. The screen is an absolute joy to look at. It's perfect for everything from watching videos to surfing the web.
The speed of this device is just amazing. I have yet to run into any stutters or lag, a problem that plagued my Samsung Galaxy S4. The combination of the Snapdragon 800 processor and the 3GB of RAM creates a buttery smooth experience.
The Note 3, with its intuitive S-Pen, would be a great addition for anyone that wants a near perfect phone experience and doesn't mind a large screen.
Excellent. HTC rocks! Fantastic uni body aluminium. Outstanding screen. Battery lasts around 16 hours
Note 3 is the phone to buy, check out Samsung's official phone review on YouTube and you know what im taking about. News have been saying the Samsung cheats in their benchmark but that's not true... letting the phone to run its best when testing isn't cheating. If the screen is too big for you, better go with Lg G2 in this case... lg g2 is better than the S4 for sure but still Note 3 is the beast. If you are looking for even smaller screen than Lg G2 than you have S4 mini, HTC one mini, and iphone which is the best of all small screens phones that is iPhone 5,5s, or even 4s...
Well Well Well...
What a Smartphone this is...
That feel.. That Awesome Premium Looks.. Puts Kate Upton to shame :P
When you first hold this device, you know how privileged you feel... Aluminum Unibody .. What a Technology. I know its not a first since Apple used this first.. But then again, Apple are a first in most of the things, be it modern day touch, Aluminum feel...
So.. One by One :
Battery Life: Turn on power saver from 100% itself and expect it to beat most smartphones out there. What it does is underclocks the processor from 1.7 GHz to 1.2 GHz. Quite Useful. If you dont do that, prepare to be disappointed!
Media: HTC Zoe rocks! 1080p 469 ppi is a treat! You will forget about Retina Display for sure! Colors are natural and not artificially over-tones like Super AMOLED in S4
Phone features: Sense 5 (The UI, aka Launcher) is good but not like Stock Android Launcher. It has no lag, howsoever! Super fast! Speakers are awesome! Beats by Dr DRE is another advantage. Headphones sound so good! Touchscreen is very good and responsive. I dont care about no micro SD card capability as 32 GB is good enough for. The world is anyway moving towards Cloud storage and I see it moving forward without SD Card. regarding people critisizing that they cant change the battery. I have had 2 smartphones until now and I have never had to replace my charger. Just keep a USB Cable with you and you would be fine, just in case. You can find a USB jack almost anywhere!
The Camera is good but not great. In the night, its the best out there, most of us party in low light conditions dont we? So its always good to have the Ultrapixel thing!
Looks & Feel: Requires no words, fresh from heaven! Most B'ful phone out there!
Performance: Very Fast, people saying S4 has octa core and all, well those 8 cores cant be used at the same time in any cost. it has 4 Cores at 1.9 GHz and another 4 crores at 1.2 Ghz. for balancing between battery and performance
All the other phones don't have. It's waterproof. Great camera. Display's a bit off, but it's good enough. Just the right size. :)
i actually tried most of android phones , they are truly lagging alot , and i tried the iphone ,i dont have one but i tried it really no lagg ! the android phones will lagg sooner or later
iPhone 5s is one of the breakthrough that apple needs to regain it's lost fame. I've been currently using iPhone 5s and am really impresed with its speed. It's one of the fastest phone I've used yet. The camra feature is great with the true tone flash I'm able to take great images, which was not possible with the iPhone 5. It got super graphic which will give you a much better gaming experience. I'm will be thinking to sell out my psvita if the battery timing could be a little longer like one or two hours more, and here comes the bad point the battery time is nearly 9-10 hours of web surfing ( if fully charged ) I thing that apple should work on it. The display size is as it was. But frankly saying its prefect for me as it fits In my pocket easily not like note 2.
