The good: All in all the design is great. the touch sensitive pad is tricky at first but after a little practice becomes very easy to use. Also the batter and extended battery are superb! Media player is awesome. T9 texting is incredible with the ability to add words to the dictionary and even search through contacts and text inbox for new words. No more tap typing people's names.
The bad: You have to flip the phone back an forth a lot to use some features. Also google maps is pretty much worthless on this phone because you can't use numbers and if you flip it to the phone side it will terminate the app. Huge let down as this phone is gps capable and I use google maps on my phone several times a day. Almost considering taking it back for this reason alone.
Summary: Solid phone with incredible batter life. Very sleek and slim out of the case and very functional as a phone and a media player. Unfortunately, as I mentioned some things are a bit challenging or impossible to use on this phone. would have been the perfect phone if you could still use the number keys while on the media side of the phone without using the flip button.
The good: qwerty keyboard, cool style, double-hinge, great for texting, LCD screen
The bad: small buttons, easy to scratch LCD screen, apps are only availible in landscape mode
Summary: its a great phone that has an awesome style and is great for textlovers. the only problem is that the buttons are kind of small and it is annoying that most of the get it now apps are only availible in landscape mode. other than than its a wonderful buy.
The good: Awesome phone features and Mobile 6 is very smooth operating system.
The bad: Tx9 predictive text, not used to it yet so not using it yet. A little heavy, but seems durable.
Summary: Purchased this phone based in part on the review here. I have had this phone for 6 days now, and use it on Edge, gprs and WiFi. Phone calls are excellent voice quality and reception. For internet I have used it instead of laptop quite well. Have listened to audio streaming of Russian radio stations, put four movies on micro SD car, and used PowerPoint to look at slide presentation. All work without a problem. I can't tell (without looking) if I'm on edge, gprs or WiFi. So far this seems to be an excellent phone.
The good: BEST COVERAGE SIGNAL out of any carrier. I kick cingular and verizon's ass in signal strength. Went to Windsor Canada and had full bars entire time.

Phones are getting better! Biggest Pro is the sim card. I love buying the newest phones off ebay and just sticking my sim in and im done. No hassles with getting numbers transfered!! Love it.

Another pro is how cheap their contracts are in my area. I pay way less than verizon and cingular and I get a better plan. I love their customer
The bad: Not very many stores. Nearest store for me at college is 2 hours away :(
Summary: Love Centennial. Great Choice!!! They will be top choice soon enough, and I already have them and do not want to switch anytime soon. BEST FEATURE: sim card and signal WORST FEATURE: amount of stores
The good: Great coverage, good phone selection, and phones have good features. Even works in with 3 bars on my phone while in the basement.
The bad: None that I have seen so far.
Summary: Alltel all around is very good in my area, and I still have yet to see any problems with Alltel U prepaid so far.
The good: Coverage was the biggest reason I switched from Sprint in Dec 05 when my contract was up. With Sprint, coverage was only in major cities and along interstates, otherwise roaming at $0.69 a minute! I understand most Sprint plans now have roaming options, as their native network is not very extensive. I travel around the West quite a bit, and am almost always on the native network. In some rural areas, Verizon has roaming agreements with other carriers, and all my calls count as in network, alth
The bad: Some have mentioned Verizon doesn't have as much phone selection and lags behind in offering the newest, "hippest" phones, and disables some of the features. I use my phone to actually make calls, and buy handsets with the best reception, but without all the fancy features, which I could less about, so it's not an issue to me. And even if it was, there are plenty of things posted on how to "unlock" your phone if you really want to.
Summary: I've been toatlly satisified in almost 2 years with Verizon, elgible for "new every 2" in a few months, and have no plans to switch.
The good: You can subscribe to a service plan with no contracts or credit check

The bad: Not many ringtones, and the ones they have cost to much
Summary: I wish they had call tones its seems like every other phone service has them but VM. Im thinking of going to Boost mobile
The good: One-year contract, willing to negotiate, the most minutes (1500 for $40 bucks) friendly, hard-working staff.
The bad: That I didn't sign up with T-Mobile sooner
Summary: I've had it with Verizon! Their 2-year contract really holds you down forever! I had 400 minutes and unlimited weekend and nights for $40 bucks. Now I'm still paying $40 bucks but for 1500 ANYTIME minutes. (They've changed that now.) The guy that signed my wife and I up for some sidekick II was friendly and a hard-worker and was able to negotiate the price of the phone. I've NEVER had a dropped call from my side and my data service is always on. Thank you T-Mobile!
The good: THe service is great!! I have NEVER had a dropped call in 3 years.
The bad: Even in my own town there are places that are not in the service coverage for Metro PCS.
Summary: I will stay with Metro PCS because I do not travel out of town normally. For anyone who travels any distance at all, like my hubby, would have to have a larger network for coverage.
The good: Great Signal Coverage just about everywhere and good Customer Service.
The bad: Three Year Contract, Minutes don't roll over
Summary: After having several years of good service with Centennial I decided to switch to AT&T/Singular. They had this great phone with the features I wanted and more minutes which would roll over. After getting my new phones I learned that they would not work in my home. I had to go out side to get any signal. After talking to AT&T technical support I learned that their coverage in my area was marginal and this was the best I could expect. Well, I canceled the AT&T contract and Centennial ported my numbers back, no questions asked. The Centennial customer service was great. I don't have the phone I wanted but I have great coverage. We just took a trip to Alaska and Centennial had full coverage in most places.
The good: Good sound quality, menu display, durability
The bad: Front Screen, text messaging
Summary: This is overall a good phone. I was going from an LG VX5300, so while this was a size increase, but it is a very durable phone. The large main screen is a good feature, but the front LCD screen is not very useful at all. The sound quality on calls is very good, however trying to text message on it is more difficult than most others. Overall, a very good phone, I would recommend.
The good: Best looks, 3G, 22 mb shared memory, Adobe Pdf reader which is rare in other phones,2MP with 20x zoom, stylish in its class
The bad: small keypad,no infrared connectivity,Delicate to handle, thats it
Summary: I am pleased to see this phone at first look itself. Only major drawback in no infrared connectivity to connect my laptop. Else its has 4 out of 5 rating from me. Excellent phone to keep for more than 2 years atleast. Yes last but not the list Symbian Operating system which is global standard like MS windows in mobile phones. Hence more advantages over any sony erricson phones.
The good: Touch pad is quick and easy to use. Long battery life. shortcuts on sides of phone make it even more easier to find what you are looking for! the music player is great! everything about this phone is awesome! but the camera....
The bad: Camera has no flash. kind of hard to take a picture, if your hand isn't really steady, the picture will come out all warped. only complaint here is about the camera.
Summary: If you're using a mini sd card, make sure you transfer the files to the phone, if you don't, the battery life will drain because the phone will constantly read from the card. This is the reason why I think so many people are having complaints about the battery life. I use my phone very often and talk for at least and hour or more a day, i have gone 2 at least days without having to charge it.
The good: Very sleek and stylish design.
The bad: The outside screen is VERY vulnerable to scratching
Summary: I have had the krzr since this past christmas so its been like 4months? but my front is Covered with scratches. This is a nice phone, but i have had some trouble with mine, nothing major, and i dont blame the phone, i blame my company.. Cellular One. I still havent figured out how to get mp3 music on my krzr, which is pretty sad considering that Im usually pretty good with technology.
I would reccomend this phone only for someone who is VERY careful with their phone, and knows technology well.
The good: Its affordable, good customer service, and has great deals.
The bad: It gets bad sevice.
Summary: I am currently not pleased with at&t. Although they are affordable, they get very bad service. I went from having four bars with another company to having one bar with at&t.
The good: Very durable and well built; solid hinge; excellent camera; and long battery life.
The bad: Music player does not have convenient controls on exterior of phone.
Summary: This phone is amazing. It is very easy to operate. Music quality is excellent (with BlueTooth headset). Convenient size. Compared with other phones I've used, this phone has better fringe area signal reception.
The good: I switched from Cingular to Verizon. Previously had 40% dropped calls. I can't remember last dropped call with Verizon. Friendly customer service has been excellent and product quality and support has been great. Quick to resolve billing questions.
The bad: Lag behind competitors in offering the latest in cell phone technology and features. Locked bluetooth functions.
Summary: Yes, it may be a more expensive service. However, for reliability and dependability you won't find a better cell phone carrier. You can go with a cheaper provider to save a few bucks, but the savings often equates to poor service and/or poor customer support.
The good: Good grip, nice color, sharp and sensitive touch screen, Windows Mobile 6
The bad: Could do with a little faster processor, no built-in radio, no 3G, no GPS receiver, heavy
Summary: The operating system WM6 has an easy to use and intuitive interface. With the addition of an external storage card, you can install as many programs as you like and/or store songs and use it like an ipod. Wi-fi is useful, but internet calling is not integrated. Not all internet video files are playable. On the whole, it is a must buy for those who have never used a pocket pc or PDA before.
The good: great reception, my circle, no contract extensions, ok costumer service, great prices
The bad: website keeps having problems, text bundles is one of the highest
Summary: i come from being with tmobile for many years, after lots of dropped calls, not so good reception and alot of months of research and debating i finally switched to alltel.

that was a great decision!!!! alltel so far has been great. all the places where i didnt get service or just one bar with tmobile i get great service and many more bars!!!!! im not jelous of all my verizon friends anymore!!!

i have to say that the my cirlce is great!! im on the 900 min, free nights, weekends and mobile to mobile for 60 bucks plus my circle and i hardly touch my airtime minutes!!!! i have used close to 2,500 hundred m2m and my cirlcle!! unbelievale, with noo rush to get off the phone because my minutes are running. alltel is great!!

i will like to say that you should research your area with people around with diffrent carriers, ask questions, google it, make sure you go to all the places you commonly travel too--then if alltel is one of your options take it!!! it took me six months of research to decide. remember is a contract with a 200 dollars cancelation fee!! it will give you less reason to complain
The good: voice recorder, datebook, alarm clock, camera, video camera, data modem, nice design
The bad: Manual is pretty bad, not enough voice recorder memory, datebook interface with Outlook Express is shaky
Summary: I've had this phone for about 2 years, and I really love it. The only problem I've had is that I dropped it on a hard floor once and the external speaker quit working, but my provider fixed it for me for free in a couple of minutes.

The manual doesn't tell you much at all, but I had Motorola phones before and a lot of it is the same. If you're new to them, I'd go to the v120t page on this site and download the manual for that phone to get a more useful introduction to the basic Motorola features.

Here are the things I like about the v555:

I use the voice recorder all the time to record "notes to self" when I'm driving or something. I wish there were a little more memory devoted to this, as it fills up after about 12 messages. There's also a text "QuickNotes" feature that's good for jotting short things like membership numbers, usernames, etc.

I also use the datebook and alarm clock features all the time so it beeps at me with reminders.

The v120t manual will tell you how to enter your own ringtones from the sheet music notes, as it's the same on this phone, and that's kind of cool I think.

The camera does great in most conditions, though certain mixtures of sun and cloud seem to confuse it a bit. You can take a ton of pictures before the memory fills up for them. Video is great too, but you'll want to go to Videos/VideoSetup and change the VideoLength from "MMS" to "Maximum" or they're just too short.

I'd probably go ahead and spring for the Motorola Phone Tools software with the data cable, then you can use the cable or Bluetooth to transfer your photos, videos, ringtones, contacts and events to your computer. Contacts and events can be synchronized with Outlook Express, but I'm not real crazy about this and just use it as a backup for contacts. I think this is more an Outlook Express failing than that of the phone, and maybe it's partly because of my older version of it. I do wish there were more options to sync with.

If your provider supports it and you sign up, you can also use this software with cable or Bluetooth to connect your laptop PC to the Internet via the phone, and that has worked really well for me.

Oh yeah, and you can use the phone to talk on too, and that's always worked just fine. :)

It would be nice if it had the independent voice dialing like the v262 has instead of having to make a recording for each one to match, but that's a minor detail.

Overall, I find this phone to have many very handy features, and am very happy with it.
