I have only used the Nokia Lumia 928 for a week. it hasn't taken me long to realize how ignorant I've been for not giving these phones a chance. I have been a die hard Samsung Galaxy series user for the past several years and the Windows Phone is definitely a breath of fresh air.
Call Quality:
Inside my home i have never seen a phone get more than one bar regardless of the provider. I would usually get one bar of 1X Verizon, barely enough to make a call. Then I brought the Nokia Lumia 928 home. i now get 3 bars of LTE everywhere in the house. I notice everywhere I go my signal is much improved compared to my Note 2.
Display:
The Amoled display on the Lumia 928 is the first screen I have been able to see outside with this Texas sun beating down over my shoulder. The display is very vibrant and crisp.
Camera:
The camera is definitely a step above the Note 2 and the iphone 5. Also the are great built in photo editing tools to make some really cool pictures. Features like Color Pop and Blur add plenty of fun to an already amazing picture.
Form Factor:
The phone is a little heavier than a Galaxy S3 or S4 but for me that is a good thing. he one thing I have always hated about my Samsung Galaxy phones was the build quality. I don't know what its going to take for Samsung to put a battery cover on their phones that is made of something a little more substantial. The lumia 928 feels rock solid and just feels like a fine quality product.
Apps:
Of course Windows store does not have all the Apps that Apple and Android currently do but they are actually working on it. After all we can't forget that this is Microsoft, I think they have a little pull in the industry to get these apps rolling.
I would highly recommend the Nokia Lumia 928 to any one looking for a new smartphone. If you are bored with your current Smartphone OS go play with one of these at the store and give it a try, You may feel the breath of fresh air that I have.
I am a Mobile Device Manager for a large engineering company in Houston, TX with 6 years of experience.
I will hit each of the 4 main area's that I rated.
The display is BEAUTIFUL! Clear, crisp, clean.
Were I live, I get only 3g, but where I work, I get the LTE service and the Reception & Call Quality on both bands is great!
The Battery? WOW!! I can go almost two days on moderate use (LTE for most of it) with a single charge.
I LOVE the 'large' aspect of this phone. It fits in my pockets just right, fits in my hands just right and is not as bulky as a tablet!
Overall this is probably the perfect phone.
Great battery, great screen, great power... Yep.. GREAT phone!!
Pro: Incredible O.S and App Store
Cons: facetime's resolution needs improvement; battery life is short( I run complete cycle charge once every two days.)
Conclusion: Good phone w/ great software but so so hardware.
Its a great smartphone and still waiting to see it with ios 7
A fantastic phone. Beautiful design, great speakers, full HD display, and exceptional specs as far as CPU, RAM, and storage space. I absolutely love this phone! This phone even has features you never knew you wanted, Like an IR blaster in the lock button. Very handy and cool to use your phone to replace your TV remotes.
I've had the privilege to use the BlackBerry Z10 for a couple months now and it is the best phone out. Better than the s4 and iPhone 5 hands down. The user experience is just incredible!
Its a phone with no lag as generally found in samsung mobiles,it really feels premium and top notch mobile.
Best phone i've ever used!
Just bought 2 HTC Ones. They're freaky fast compared to my current smart phones. Full 1080p screen is amazing. Best sound from a cell phone. Very happy.
I used iphone, samsung nothing beats this outstanding device it looks better then iphone 5 leave plastic samsung aside also it performs better the iphone or samsung or a nexus device no lag smooth experience.
camera software is amazing though they could have made it 16 mp or somthing but still HTC rules .
If you don't need the latest, greatest WhizBang iDroid phone with more processing power than a mainframe, and you talk/text/surf only occasionally, then Tracfone is for you.
Got my first Tracfone in 2000. Since then, their plans, phones, and service have improved immensely. Tracfone works off of existing networks...ATT, US Cellular, etc. The quality of your call is only as good as the quality of these networks. But, this means that Tracfone has unrivaled coverage, which is awesome. I have never been unable to make a call when I had service.
Customer service is so-so, but then, for what you're paying, it isn't that bad. I've had to call about 5 times or so in 13 years, and if the first technician couldn't solve my problem, I simply hung up and called back to talk to someone else. In all those years, I never posed a problem to them that someone couldn't eventually fix, including transferring numbers, transferring airtime, technical issues, etc. Yes, you may have to spend some time on the phone to sort something out, but it is rare. If all else fails, the phones are cheap enough that you can just buy another one and have your number transferred. I haven't had to do that, though.
Right now, I have an LG840G. It's an app capable phone which, with the right apps, can text, browse Internet, check Facebook and Twitter with a dedicated app, send/receive email from my Gmail account, scan QR codes, run three different web browsers, take and send pictures, play games, watch video, listen to music, and more...on a phone that cost $40. And the service I have is only $9.99 a month. Where else can you get a deal like that? Of course, there are more expensive plans available with greater airtime, but for what I do, this suits my needs perfectly.
Tracfone gets a lot of flack because they are the Model T of cell phones...maybe a bit basic, but affordable for the masses. I refuse to pay $75-100 a month for service that I won't use, so if it wasn't for Tracfone, I wouldn't have a phone at all.
Camera, display, sound, handling, build quality is all great, but the slot/port covers are lousy. Therefore waterproofing becomes less effective over time. Unfortunately Sony doesn't bundle the charging dock therefore you will open/close the cover for the charging port oftentimes. After five month of daily usage my Xperia Z became leaky and stopped working after I cleaned the display under the water tap.
Meanwhile the screen has several stuck pixels. These are annoying.
Furthermore the rubber at the frame comes off, so it looks pitted and its haptics becomes worse.
Sad but true, Sony could have done better. This phone incorporates good ideas half hearted implemented. If distinguishing features don't work reliably, it becomes clear that they are empty promises for the only sake of marketing. Quality looks different!
I like the waterproof and the headphones but I like the ultra its bigger and reliable
Since It pretty much like the 920, I'll just going to talk about the camera, It's AMAZING. I'm not a person who take a lot of photo, but I been takeing picture constantly. The only low point of this phone is the feeling in hand, a little bit weird, then again, people recognize on the street by that Giant camera lens.
I checked this device on the store and it looked awesome.
Love the screen ! the music quality is unbeaten ! the camera if alright though.
I have been using my Gs4 for two months....Since then i really enjoyed using it...i have the octa core version which is quite different in cpu/gpu perspective from the Qualcomm one...First the battery life....yes it was good but i rather found improvement after the softwre update a month ago...so its lasting much longer....About the display....Superb in one word...now i have been usnig ip5 s3 and s2 ...and by far this is the best i found and second to none...Call quality is good but not great....same goes for loudspeaker...Now i really like the design of gs4....its not that there are not better ones there ...its just that fitting a five inch display in such a way is amazing and although its plastic ....its durable one, though it feels cheap......now what things i found Samsung should have and can improve.....The first thing is gesture thing....they r not upto mark yet...sometimes the auto scroll works sometimes it just dont detect the eyes....same is for smart pause.....About Touchwiz.... well although i dont need anything special from samsung in this department,i definitely want it to be smooth atleast....And it should be lag free....These are few things Samsung should work on for this flagship device....and i hope these can be resolved by software updates....Regardless still its a wonderful device with brilliant display removable battery sd card slot and great processing power....i have checked htc one though and while i cant say with full confidence that it is better it is certainly second to none....
Feels so good on hand
User interface of htc blink feed good
Good battery not upto iPhone
Clarity display the best but Sony wins it all
Over all a great mobile ... N waiting to have it
My HTC one is Developer Edition (sliver)
the speaker is so great and it have 2 (top and bottom)!!
Also, HTC Zoe (camera) give me lots fun and help.
