The good: Everything.
The bad: None.
Summary: Listen - I know people get upset and need to vent and these forums/reviews/etc. are the best place to do so, but listen Sprint is doing much better. I just have to tell you I have Sprint and I love it. Even when you talk to people that are "foreign" and live in a different country they are really trying to help you and yes they do have to repeat what you are saying, but they are actively tryint to assist you, but simply want to make sure they understand what you are saying. So what?!! But otherwise, the service is great and so is customer service. They have made leaps and bounds. I think I have more issues with the store reps then the call center agents. But even then not enough for me to say I hate Sprint. The store agents are not as good only because they dont get as much training because of such high turnover. And I did my research on all carriers. All you have to do is type in I hate Verizon or I hate AT&T - what do you get? Same complaints. You know if Sprint does not work for you that does not make them a bad company, just not right for you. It is the same for anything else. For example, everyone had the favorite restaurant vs. the fast food place, or clothing store vs. cheap store, the places that sell them the goods they need and want. If Sprint is not that place - quit complaining and quit bashing an entire people who are just doing their job, when it is a tower you are mad at, or a single person. They have limitations too. Not everyone can give you what you want, but when they try to get you to someone who can don't get mad at them. You don't know what they can or cannot do. And I know this because I have read most of the reviews. The things people get so mad about are so trivial, only a few people have legitimate complaints. For example, the user whose mother passed and no one could reach her. Could you imagine? But she is really the only one that deserves to really be upset. Everyone else, mostly seems you got your issue taken care of and no harm was done. I am just saying that Sprint is improving. "I hate Sprint" "OMG Customer Service STinks" - the only reason people say that is because Sprint is the easy target. Let me tell you one thing though. I have had Verizon and I have had AT&T and I promise you if you have a problem and you want your activation fee or upgrade fee waived because they said it would be, or you were charged proration without being told, or even you incurred overage for the first time ever and just need a courtesy credit to help out w/ half the charges - you will not get it. So all of you who say Sprint does not care - how many adjustments to your bill did you get? How many I'm sorry to see this happened? I would dare say a lot - Sprint has heart. Verizon and AT&T they don't. So go to them if you want, but I dare say you will wish you had stayed with Sprint. So for all the millions Sprint loses - I want to know how many want to come back or will be. Sprint is great and I am sorry for some who have had life changin
The good: Easy to txt and simple layout
The bad: Can't use transferred bluetooth files as ringtones. The screen went to crap on mine twice and my sisters three times......I wouldn't recommend it for reliability.
Summary: I wouldn't recommend this phone because of the technical issues with the screen. If LG could fix that then it would be a good phone. But as of now i wouldn't get again.
The good: Easy to handle, great sound, easy to learn and use
The bad: Choice of ringtones and finding accessories for the phone
Summary: This is my first touch screen phone and I love it. It's easy to use and operate. The keyboard is very easy to use and I really enjoy the touch screen. The camera is great and I used the video yesterday to record AQHA show and it was very clear. A great purchase.
The good: Everything. I love the touch screen and the slide out keyboard. i really like the square edges opposed to the rounded edges of other PDA's it gives it more of a professional business look and makes me feel important. The internet is very nice, much better than any other PDA. I LOVE IT SO MUCH
The bad: You haven't bought it yet!
Summary: This is a great PDA best ever. rugged tough durable amazing. SEXY! everything is great! though the only thing i didn't like was the layout so i installed windows mobile 6.1 and put the iPhone theme on it and its great!!!!! A must have phone! I got it for $50 in brand new condition!
The good: Menus & windows are very easy to navigate through. Very Bright display & clear reception with plenty of volume.
The bad: None yet...I only gave it a very good on Battery life because I don't know yet. Used it for 5 hrs & lost only 1 bar.
Summary: I've only had this phone one day but Very Impressed so far. Small, light & thin w/ rounded corners makes it easy to pocket. Clear Bright display. Nice positive tough screen engagement.
The good: Feels nice in hand, good weight, great touchscreen, smooth slide, great apps, good call quality
The bad: Slightly slow UI, little bit bulky
Summary: Very nice phone, the colors are great, nice clear screen, bright good quality screen, still has the same problem as the sidekick though its too bulky. Other than that its a great phone and a good buy.
The good: Easy to text inside and out, 2.0 megapixel camra, slideshow, sharp display
The bad: Terribly small outside screen, broke 2 times, shuts off, battery gets worse and worse, ok design, only up and down arrow keys on the front.
Summary: I upgraded to this from my env because it broke, and this isent to much of a upgrade, i personaly rather have my old env. It has good things but more bad things about it. I am getting a new phone in Febuary. It is not i reapeat NOT worth the 120$ they want for it right now.
The good: Low cost, real live customer service reps (short wait times)
The bad: Too few stores & lack of phone selection --> maybe a merger with another mobile company (ie Sprint)
Summary: I switched to nTelos July 2008 and have not had any problems with the cellular provider at all. I did, however, have problem with my HTC Touch. It had a tendency to freeze up on me, so nTelos just sent me another. I enjoy their low cost smart phone plans (my bill is $82.09/mon). I shopped around. Other carriers had their smart phone plans starting at $79.99!! All in all, aside from the lack of phone selection, I enjoy nTelos service.
The good: Best prepaid service out there.
The bad: People misunderstand the concept of these phones.
Summary: People don't seem to understand what these phones are for--these are NOT phones for heavy talkers! If you talk on your phone for more than 30 minutes a day or 300 minutes a month, you do not to be on ANY prepaid cell phone plan. Do the smart thing and get a contract.

These phones are for people, like me, who don't jab on the phone all day but still want a cell phone in case their car breaks down, they're out shopping, or to call and ask where someone is. Those kinds of calls.

Also, if you have bad credit, these are handy. Major carriers will charge an outrageous deposit if your credit is bad.

And as for all the complaints about the customer service, I don't understand why so many people have to call them in the first place. The entire process if set up in a way that you never even HAVE to talk to a live person. You can buy the phone at Wal-Mart, activate it on the website, add minutes on the website or even from the phone ITSELF...there is no reason to even call customer service at all. I don't understand. You can completely bypass ever speaking to a live person should you want to.

As for the quality, mine works fine. Clear calls, loud volume.

I switched to Tracfone after having an AT&T GoPhone, and let me tell you, this is the superior prepaid service. AT&T's prepaid wireless will charge you for every text message sent to you, even if you don't read it! I learned this the hard way when I had a friend get mad at me and begin sending me blank text messages to purposefully drain my account (0.15 per text!). The only thing you can do is file a police report, and AT&T cannot even shut off the texting and they need a report before they can refund your money. This alone should make you stay away from them. With Tracfone, you are not charged for a text message unless you READ it. If you ignore it, you are fine. AT&T dropped the ball on that one. AT&T also charges $1 a day for their prepaid service! So regardless, you'd be spending $30 a month MINIMUM anyways just to have it! With Tracfone, as long as you add more minutes within 90 days or your service end date, you are fine. You can pay $19.99 a month and not worry about being charged $1 a day just to have it.

Trust me, if you don't want your money drained by texts you don't want or to be charged fees for everything, this is the only prepaid service to use.

I have never even had to talk to a live person before, so I don't know what the deal is here.

People just don't seem to understand what these phones are for or how they work.
The good: Great coverage cool phones
The bad: none
Summary: I think that the people who are writing the horrible reviews are ridiculous it's like all people do these days is complain complain complain and can never be satisified with anything that they have, I mean of course every company has its problems but I bet when you get a different phone with a different company you will have similar problems or different ones. I have had my phone for two years now and it works fine for a PREPAID phone I don;t expect it to work miracles. Come on people quit being haters on a fine company
The good: No contract, no hidden fees or gimmicks, and no bill.
The bad: Pretty basic phone designs.
Summary: I guess I haven't had all the bad experiences some people on here claim to.

This phone is perfect for people like me who have really bad credit. Big cell phone carriers like Sprint will run a credit check when you try to sign up for service, and depending on your rating, you will have to pay a pretty hefty deposit. My credit is not the greatest, and upon shopping around for a carrier, I found most places were asking for a $500 deposit or more because of my rating. This was not an option for me.

So I went to Wal-Mart and picked up a Tracfone for $9.99 and a 60-minute airtime card. The activation was simple and took about 10 minutes. I plugged the phone in to charge, followed the directions on the package insert, and activated my airtime card. I had service in 10 minutes.

The calls are clear and I haven't experienced any difficulty, and reception is fine everywhere I go in town.

The big appeal to these phones is that you aren't bound to anything. You can stop service anytime you want and throw the thing in the trash. Here in Texas, all the major carriers such as Verizon and Sprint charge a $200 cancellation fee should you choose to terminate service before your contract has expired. Ridiculous. I also love the fact I don't have a cell phone bill. I basically have a phone without the hassle of dealing with anyone at all. Whenever I need more minutes, I simply pick up a card whenever I go to the store, and you can activate it online or even from the phone itself. I've never had to talk to a live person.

However, if you are a gossiper or talk a lot, maybe you should look elsewhere. I am not a chatter, and my phone calls are for basic things like to find out where my girlfriend is, or to call a friend up to see if they wanna meet up somewhere. I rarely spend more than 5 minutes on the phone for every call. A 60-minute airtime card costs $19.99 and lasts me at least 2 weeks. You get 3 text messages per airtime minute as well, so a 60-minute card will get you 180 texts. They charge for incoming and outgoing, but you have the option to not read an incoming message and it will not charge you for it. If I am running low on minutes, whenever I see someone sends me a text, I just ignore it and I am not charged.

Like I said, these phones are a lifesaver if your credit is terrible. I can't pay a $500 deposit to get service with a major carrier. I also don't want to be bound to a contract with outrageous cancellation fees. I have this phone, pick up minutes whenever I need to, and never have to deal with anyone.

One other con is that these phones are basic. Mine does not take photos, connect to the net, or any of that fancy stuff. But that's fine with me. I don't do any of that anyways. I use my phone to talk or send texts when I need to--not as my personal compute. I have a laptop for that.
The good: Touchscreen, dual screens, dual speakers, big key board
The bad: Battery life
Summary: I had a cheap free phone the lst two years, poor signal, low speaker volume. This was the perfect upgrade, the touch screen is nice, but txtn on it can get iffy. The speakers are loud but sqeual a little. The battery can go quick if you are on teh web a lot. It is a great phone if you like to text or search the web. It has lots of options.
The good: Full qwerty, full html browser, media center, 2mp camera, full smart phone features.
The bad: When going to some webpages will freeze up and continuously spin the hour glass on and off even out of the browser so you have to do a cold reset (just take the battery out and replace it).
Summary: Awesome phone need i say more, blackberry always on top of the game.
The good: 2 gigs internal and 1gb msd card, fast scroll, morph enabled keypad, full html browser.
The bad: A little laggy, had phone for 2 months, and for the first month nothing but problems on the txting side had to call in numerous times, texts were going to the other parties but when sent to me took anywhere from 10 hours up to days to get them, tmobile finally sent out a firmware update and that cleared everything up.
Summary: I would give it a 8 out of 10 for styling and ease of use, full of great features.
The good: Slim, easy to see and operate camera phone. Nice rubberized cover.
The bad: Camera is already filled with cartoonish pictures. Therefore, there is only room to take about 10 more pictures. There is no way to delete the cartoonish pictures that comes with the phone; which uses a lot of the phones memory. No voice memo capabilities.
Summary: A good phone with good reception from almost anywhere in the country. It takes not so good pictures and picture taking is limited due to non-deletable, factory-stored pictures.
The good: User friendly
The bad: The keyboard lock is a pain
Summary: Hubby & I ea got one-we love it-menus r easy-the keyboard lock is a real pain though-have to keep unlocking it-when you turn it on, when you answer a call, etc -haven't found a way to turn it off! that is the only bad thing I can say about it.... LOVE IT!!!!
The good: Light weight
The bad: Below average speaker phone, avg. camera
Summary: I would seek out another LG phone with better speaker and camera capabilities.
The good: Service when calling over the phone is great. The representatives are very helpful. I never have dropped calls or have trouble calling out. The price is great for what I get.
The bad: There isn't a very good selection of phones to choose from. The service in the stores is not too good. There are very few clerks and a lot of customers. There's a long wait every time I go.
Summary: Overall I am very satisfied with U. S. Cellular. I had U. S. Cellular for about 3 years and switched to another company because there was a better phone that I wanted. I stayed there until my contract ran out and switched back to U. S. Cellular because the coverage and price was so much better. I've been here for about 4 years and don't anticipate switching. I do wish they would get a larger selection of phones.
The good: Great quality music, nice camera, the music slider works no matter whatyour using on the phone
The bad: 2.5 millimeter headphone jack
Summary: The phone is great overall i'd give it an 8.7 out of 10 from my perspective. i actually own the phone and i'm just glad it plays music because that internet and texting is all i use it for.
This phone is the coolest phone in the world with the dual sliding keyboards! I hade the Duo but i got the matrix 3 weeks ago and it is awesome! And QWERTY keybord letters are not small they are pretty big and that is what i think about the Pantech Matrix!
