Well i'm a Verizon Wireless person.. and i was always bored of the standard ringtones the phone comes with.  I seemed to always buy second hand used phones from craig's list, so i didn't have those cables to hook up to the computer and sync things into.  I wasn't allowed to buy ringtones either when i did get a new lg venus because then my parents will go ballistic on me, so i found a way to get it free.  All you need is:

1. A cell phone with texting plan
2. A memory card (micro sd, mini sd, whatever the phone uses)
3. A usb card reader or sd adapter (you can find it cheap on ebay)
4. Internet connection

Steps to get FREE ringtones...

1. Take the micro sd out of the phone and stick it into the adapter or usb card reader
2. Stick that into your laptop or computer.
3. Go to www.mytinyphone.com
4. Search for the ringtone you want.
5. Download to computer.
6. Click on save... where do you save it?  Go to computers... click on removable disk and then on my_sounds.
7. After saving it put the sd back into your phone
8. Go to Get it Now.
9. Then music and tones
10. My sounds
11. Choose the song u want then go to options and send to yourself.. to your friends. :]and there you have it

I've seen some videos on youtube on how they get free ringtones.. they use the cable to sync.  Most of the time people don't get. one, so i found an easier way without having to download so many different programs on to the computer too.  Oh and i've sent ringtones to not only verizon users but also T-mobile Blackberry.  Ido this for free for my friends but if you'd like to charge your friends..that's all up to you
