The LG V30S ThinQ isn't the only ThinQ-branded device that LG announced recently, and now two of them are available for pre-order.
The LG WK7 ThinQ Assistant Speaker and LG WK9 ThinQ oogle Assistant Touch Screen Speaker are now available for pre-order. You can get 'em both from B&H, with pricing set at $196.99 and $296.99, respectively. There's no word yet on when either model will ship to buyers.
As their names suggest, both of these LG ThinQ devices come with Google Assistant. This means you should be able ask the speakers to do things like play music, control smart home devices, set calendar events and reminders, and more. Both products also come with Chromecast built-in and Meridian Audio technology.
The LG WK7 ThinQ Google Assistant Speaker is also a certified hi-res audio (192kHz/24bit) device. Meanwhile, the LG WK9 ThinQ Google Assistant Touch Screen Speaker boasts an 8-inch touch display and a front-facing camera.
Google Assistant-powered smart speakers are nothing new, as Google itself has a few of them on the market. What's more interesting is the LG WK9 ThinQ Google Assistant Touch Screen Speaker. Amazon has a couple of smart speaker devices with screens, but this LG device is one of the first Google Assistant speakers that we've seen with a screen. As such, there's not a ton that we know about how useful Google Assistant is with a speaker, but if you're interested in having a smart speaker with a screen for watching videos or viewing timers, then this LG model is one to keep in mind.
