After coming to the iPhone last year, Google Assistant is now making its way onto another Apple device.
Google Assistant is now available on the iPad. Google's Assistant offers the same features on iPad that it does on iPhone, just with a UI that fits onto the iPad's bigger screen. That means it includes smart home controls, casting, calling and texting, setting reminders and calendar events, and getting weather info, and more.
Also of note is that Google Assistant supports iOS 11's multitasking features, meaning you can have the Assistant open on one side of your screen while you're performing tasks in another app on the other part of the display.
Google Assistant for iPad will be available today in English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese (Brazil), and Spanish.
Getting the Assistant on the iPad is a great move by Google. Not only does it let iPhone users get Google Assistant on their iPad, too, but now the people that have an Android phone and an iPad can get the Assistant on their tablet as well.
