Normally when you use the Snapchat app, you're sending disappearing photos and videos to your friends or checking out stories. Starting today, though, you can do some shopping in there, too.
Snapchat is now selling Snapchat-themed merchandise in the Snapchat app. There are a handful of different products available, including a Dancing Hot Dog Plushie with bendable arms and removable bun for $19.99 and a Streak Hat with fire emoji for $29.99. Snap is also selling a Winkface Sweatshirt and a "Bring Back Best Friends" Sweatshirt for $49.99 each.
If you see anything you like, you simply need to swipe up on it to purchase.
Snap says that these Snapchat items may disappear, so if you see something you like, you should buy it fast. New items are expected to arrive on February 8.
Considering the popularity of things like the Dancing Hot Dog and the app's face filters, these products could help Snapchat bring in a bit of extra cash. What will be interesting is seeing how quickly these items disappear and how many different items Snapchat can cook up.
