Late last year, it was confirmed that the OnePlus 5 would receive the Face Unlock feature that debuted on the OnePlus 5T. Now it sounds like another OnePlus device will get that feature, too.
OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei has said that both the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T will soon get a beta version of Face Unlock. "There's no reason to withhold features we can easily implement," Pei explained. Unfortunately, no other details on the rollout have been given.
As its name implies, Face Unlock allows users to unlock their phone by letting the device scan their face rather than unlocking with a fingerprint or passcode. While the feature isn't as secure as using your fingerprint, it is convenient since you just have to lift your phone and look at it rather than try to place your finger on a fingerprint reader.
Is face unlocking a feature that you're interested in? Or do you prefer using your fingerprint or a passcode?
