Google’s Pixel 2 event is now just a couple of days away, but if you’re starting to get impatient about the reveal, the rumor mill has provided a new leak to help you get by.
New images that show the Pixel 2 XL has been posted by @evleaks. In one render we can see the front of the phone without a case, and in the second image some of the Pixel 2 XL’s body is hidden by a case.
The design of this device looks largely similar to the Pixel 2 XL that leaked way back in July, save for one feature: dual front-facing speakers.

Also of note is that this Pixel 2 XL looks to be running a different launcher than the one found on the current Pixel and Pixel XL. It actually looks like that redesigned Pixel Launcher that was spotted at Google I/O in May, complete with a Google Search bar between the app dock and on-screen navigation buttons.
Near the top of the screen where the search bar is normally placed, there’s a widget with a calendar entry and the weather.

The Pixel 2 XL looks like it’s going to be a quite an update over the original Pixel XL, offering considerably slimmer bezels and dual speakers. The bad news for folks who are digging this design is that the Pixel 2 XL could end up being on the pricey side, with rumors suggesting that the 64GB model will cost $849 while the 128GB model will be $949.
Google is expected to introduce the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL at an event this Wednesday, October 4th.
