Today’s a big day for ASUS, as the company has introduced its new ZenFone 4 hero phone along with several variants.
The ASUS ZenFone 4 boasts a dual rear camera setup, with one 12-megapixel camera boasting a Sony IMX362 image sensor and f/1.8 aperture while the other is an 8-megapixel 120-degree wide angle lens. ASUS touts that the ZenFone 4’s dual pixel PDAF allow for 0.03-second autofocus.
ASUS has equipped the ZenFone 4 with Android 7 Nougat below the custom ZenUI 4.0 user interface. Other features of the ZenFone 4 include a 5.5-inch 1920x1080 display, Snapdragon 630 or 660 processor, 4/6GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, a microSD slot, and a fingerprint reader.
Rounding things out is a pair of dual speakers, FM radio, 3.5mm headphone jack, USB Type-C, and 3300mAh battery.
Here’s what the four variants of the ZenFone 4 look like:
- ZenFone 4 Pro: 5.5-inch 1920x1080 AMOLEd display, Snapdragon 835 processor, 6GB of RAM, dual rear cameras with 12MP Sony IMX362 sensor and 16MP Sony IMX351 lens with 2x optical zoom, 8-megapixel front camera, 64/128GB of storage, microSD slot, dual speakers, fingerprint reader, 3.5mm jack, USB-C, and 3600mAh battery.
- ZenFone 4 Max Pro: 5.5-inch 1280x720 display, Snapdragon 425/430 processor, 2/3GB of RAM, 16-megapixel standard rear camera and secondary 120-degree wide angle camera, 16-megapixel front camera, 32GB of storage, microSD slot, fingerprint reader, microUSB, 3.5mm jack, and 5000mAh battery.
- ZenFone 4 Selfie: 5.5-inch 1280x720 display, Snapdragon 430 processor, 4GB of RAM, dual front-facing cameras (20-megapixel main sensor with SelfieMaster beautification software and 8-megapixel wide angle sensor), 16-megapixel rear camera, 64GB of storage, microSD slot, fingerprint reader, microUSB, 3.5mm jack, 3000mAh battery.
- ZenFone 4 Selfie Pro: 5.5-inch 1920x1080 AMOLED display, Snapdragon 625 processor, 3/4GB of RAM, dual front cameras (12-megapixel Sony IMX362 camera with SelfieMaster beautification software and 120-degree wide angle secondary camera), 16-megapixel rear camera, 64GB of storage, microSD slot, microUSB, 3.5mm jack, 3000mAh battery.
ASUS says that its ZenFone 4 series will launch first in Asia and then follow other markets around the world. Also of note is that all of the ZenFone 4 models announced today, along with the ZenFone 3 series, will be updated to Android O.
