Following the arrival of Lugia, Articuno, Moltres, and Zapdos, another legendary Pokémon will soon be arriving in Pokémon Go.
Pokémon Go developer Niantic today revealed that Mewtwo will soon be available for players to catch. The way that you’ll capture Mewtwo will be a bit different from other legendary Pokémon, though.
Mewtwo will only be available in Exclusive Raid Battles, which players will need an invitation to take part in. To get an invitation, you’ll need to have recently completed a Raid at the Gym where the Exclusive Raid Battle will be taking place. Once you get an invitation, it’ll include an advance warning of when the Exclusive Raid Battle will be taking place so that you’ve got time to prepare.
Niantic also said today that Lugia, Articuno, Moltres, and Zapdos will be available in Raid Battles from August 14th through August 31st to give players more opportunities to capture these legendary birds.
