Many of Nokia’s Windows phones placed a focus on offering a great photography experience, which included Carl Zeiss-branded cameras. Now it looks like the Nokia-branded Android phones will get the same optics.
HMD Global, the company that manufactures the new Nokia-branded Android phones, today announced that it’s partnering with Zeiss. The two companies will work to improve the imaging experience on Nokia Android phones, including the software, services, screen quality, and optic design.
There’s no mention of when we might see the first Nokia Android phone with Zeiss branding.
The news that HMD and Zeiss are partnering is sure to bring more attention to the upcoming Nokia Android phones that sport Zeiss branding. Some of the old Nokia Windows phones with Zeiss branding had some solid camera performance, so it’ll be interesting to see if HMD’s Nokia-branded Android phones can offer strong photographic chops, too.
