After appearing in a leaked product render last month, the HTC Bolt is showing its face again today.
Photos of the HTC Bolt that show the actual device have leaked out. The images, shared by VentureBeat, give us a look at the Bolt from multiple angles. We can see the phone’s fingerprint reader with capacitive keys on either side, power/lock and volume buttons on the side, and what are likely SIM and microSD slots on the other side of the phone.
The bottom of the Bolt is home to a USB-Type C port and a speaker. There’s no 3.5mm headphone jack to be found here, making the Bolt the latest smartphone to ditch the 3.5mm jack. Speaking of headphones, it’s said that the Bolt does offer HTC’s BoomSound audio technology, but that it’s only available when you’re using headphones.
The HTC Bolt is rumored to have a 5.5-inch 1920x1080 display, 18-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and 4K video capture, 8-megapixel front-facing camera, 3GB of RAM, and 64GB of built-in storage. The Bolt will reportedly come equipped with Android 7.0 Nougat.
If the HTC Bolt’s rumored features are true, it could be a good option for folks that want an HTC 10-like device but want a display larger than the 10’s 5.2-inch screen. It’s said that the Bolt will be offered around the world, including the US, where it’ll be available on Sprint. However, there’s no word yet on when the Bolt might arrive.
