The ASUS ZenFone 3 Deluxe Special Edition will be one of the first smartphones to come equipped with a Snapdragon 821 processor, and you’ll be able to buy one later this month.
ASUS is now taking pre-orders for the ZenFone 3 Deluxe Special Edition, with an estimated delivery date of October 19. Pricing is set at $799.
As previously mentioned, the ZenFone 3 Deluxe Special Edition comes with Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 821 processor. The rest of its spec list is pretty high-end, too, including features like 6GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, 23-megapixel rear camera, USB Type-C, and a 5.7-inch 1920x1080 display. There’s also a fingerprint reader on the phone’s backside.
The ZenFone 3 Deluxe Special Edition isn’t cheap, but it’s also stuffed to the gills with high-end specs. The Snapdragon 821 isn’t any many other phones right now — the Pixel and Pixel XL have the chip, too — plus the ZenFone 3 Deluxe Special Edition offers 6GB of RAM and 256GB of built-in storage, more than most other Android flagships. So if you’re looking for the absolute top-end smartphone hardware and you’re willing to pay for the, the ZenFone 3 Deluxe Special Edition is worth a look.
ASUS is also offering a couple other ZenFone 3 models if the Deluxe Special Edition is too rich for your blood. The 5.7-inch ZenFone 3 Deluxe is $499 and includes a Snapdragon 820 processor, 6GB of RAM, and 64GB of storage, while the 5.5-inch ZenFone 3 Deluxe is $399 and includes a Snapdragon 625 processor, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of storage.
Finally, ASUS has spilled the launch info for its round ZenWatch 3. This Android Wear-poweared wristwatch will launch in early November for $229.
