Remember that Night Mode that Twitter was testing earlier this year? Well, it’s now official.
Twitter has announced that Night Mode is now available in the Twitter app for Android. When enabled, Night Mode will turn most of the Twitter app’s UI dark, making it easier on your eyes when you’re browsing Twitter at night. You can toggle Night Mode by hitting the switch in the Twitter app’s slide-out navigation drawer.
There’s no word on when Night Mode will come to the Twitter app on iOS, so for now you Android users have a feature to brag about to your iOS-using friends.
When you’re browsing your phone late at night, opening an app and being greeted with a mostly white UI can be a bit blinding. Night Mode aims to fix that, giving your Twitter app a dark theme so that you can more comfortably browse your Twitter feed in the evening. It’s a nifty little feature, and hopefully it’ll make its way to the iOS version of the Twitter app soon.
