During its Build developer conference earlier this year, Microsoft revealed that it was working to enable Windows 10 users to get notifications form their Android phone on their PC. Now that feature is live for select users.
Windows 10 testers can now get their Android notifications on their PC with an update to Cortana for Android. With the feature enabled, Windows 10 testers should receive alerts for missed calls, messages, and other notifications on their Windows 10-based PC. Users have the ability to reply to those Android notifications, too.
This feature is enabled for Windows 10 testers and a new update to Cortana for Android, which you can get from the Google Play Store right here. According to The Verge, this feature will be enabled for all Windows 10 users with an Anniversary Update that’s coming this summer.
There are already some ways for Android users to see their phone’s notifications on their PC, such as the Pushbullet app. This new feature with Cortana for Android is a more official and integrated way to get Android notifications on your PC, though. It’s a neat feature that can save you the trouble of having to pick up your phone every few minutes to check and reply to notifications, and it’s cool to see it coming from Microsoft.
